Hi all,
Hope everyone is doing well.
First, big Kudos to Tim and John for a great webinar on Diversifying the GBIF data model<https://www.gbif.org/new-data-model>.
They not only gave a very clear introduction to the new "GBIF Grand Unified Model" but they also actively invited people to join our TG and test our proposal! Thank you!
Second, John has agreed to help us with the test IPT for the Humboldt extension. This would be very valuable for our testing subgroup, but we thought it would be a good idea to open this to everybody who is interested. Hence, tomorrow in our typical Wed meeting we will have some time to ask John questions regarding the IPT (and potentially how the new unified data model could impact that work).
There has also been a lot of progress in the Humboldt documentation<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZglRfoQUGpsDm4t2M4B6Qif2IlbPvuBaRBeOi9x…> and the testing feedback form<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1zk2QEtrvekXDiZnkNEo6GhKxizQlP7GUVzUf5wph_N…>, that would greatly benefit from your comments!
Below you will find the proposed agenda for tomorrow:
* Are we ready for external testing of Humboldt extension?
* specific IPT questions (questions for John)
* Any comments on the documentation and feedback form?
* have we identified external testers?
* How can the working group have an active participation in TDWG 2022<https://www.tdwg.org/conferences/2022/>?
* Deadline is this Friday!
All the best!

Hi all,
With the test-IPT currently being tested (internally) and the advances on the documentation side, I believe we are ready to start planning for external testing.
I identified a couple of steps that would be great to discuss tomorrow (or later today for some) but please add other items:
* Select key implementers and assign who/how will reach out to them
* see full list of potential testers here<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1cWWOw720Qw2eWOVRTeZSHD0eavt78KFB_b6vAH-…>
* Get a common understanding of what we want to ask them and how we want their feedback
* prepare feedback forms
* IPT workshop (?)
I'd encourage all of you to review at the beta documentation here<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZglRfoQUGpsDm4t2M4B6Qif2IlbPvuBaRBeOi9x…>. Rob G and Peter, we would really benefit from your input!
Hope you are well!
See you later!

Hi all,
It has been a long time since we do not meet as a group! It would be nice to catch up with everybody and share some of the advances of the subgroups.
As a heads up, the USA shifted our time by 1 hours last Sunday (Daylight Saving Time 2022) so it might be worth checking what 8am EST means in your local time<http://www.timebie.com/std/est.php?q=8>.
Agenda:
* Our participation in TDWG 2022
* General catch up:
* Internal testing
* Beta version of documentation
Hope to see you!
Cheers,
Yani
Hi all,
I have some great news. Paula, Kate and myself have finally finished
revising the definitions, comments and examples for all Humboldt terms that
we (as a group) decided to keep.
*Please take a look at them in our github
<https://github.com/tdwg/hc/tree/main/vocabulary> (where we track all
changes from the original publication) or here
<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1g2awBg8rxP5vnd7Lg_YFwYREADuLhVM_psV…>for
a simpler version with all current terms.*
Since subgroups are actively working on testing and documentation, I
propose we *skip our general meeting next week.* If you are interested in
participating in any of the subgroups please let me know and I'll send the
details for the next meetings.
One key item that we still have to agree on is *changing the TDWG Task
group name and the associated github from Humboldt Core (HC) to Humboldt
Extension to Darwin Core (HE).*
Any thoughts?
Have a great weekend!
