I'm writing to both of you because Yani you should be aware of what I've done sooner rather than later, and Ming because I saw that you were viewing the document while I was also mucking around with it. Somehow, I ended up experimenting with a major reorganization of the material in the existing abstract, while (hopefully) not deleting any information, and adding little new information (the exception being the fourth and fifth sentences). I have pasted my experimental reoganization of the material below the current version, and I have written a long comment linked to the first word in my experiment. Unfortunately, it's impossible to see where the original text remained, where parts of the original text were moved, or where I made additions, because I made a local copy of the original and then copied the end result back...and all of the change-tracking colour information disappeared. Anyway, as I wrote at the end of my comment, you absolutely should treat what I did as an experiment in creating a new order of presentation of the ideas in the original version, and use the new organization, or not, to the extent that you see fit. Oh, and regarding English versus U.S. spelling, I'm definitely the worst person to ask, because the spelling all looks Canadian (i.e. a British-U.S. hybrid) to me. Hierarchical Events guide document

Hi all, Thanks for a very productive meeting. It seems we are reaching an agreement on the Hierarchical Events document. As a group, we managed to discuss until point 4 in section 3 Usage guidelines (normative). Ani and Wesley will make some editorial edits to the current document and next week we will keep discussing the points. I did a first pass through all eco:terms and classified them as a 'design' or 'result' property. I also added the categories of terms. I assume that I was supposed to create new content in the sections before the normative text in Section 3, rather than to work on the usage guidelines in Section 3. So, I have tried add/edit text in Sections 1 and 2 in a way that I hope explains the rationale for the usage guidelines. I assume that Section 3 will also need to be altered to some extent in light of what we discussed last week. I have added new text (there is a new Section 1.4, and parts of Section 2 are completely new). However, I think that the starting text by Yanina contained important ideas, and to the extent that I felt able, I have modified Yanina's text to fit within a somewhat different framework. Yanina (or John) could you forward this message, or at least news that I am done to the Humbolt Extension listserv so that other folks will know that there is no material? However, I am assuming that now John should work with this starting material before anyone else dives into it. Apologies for not finishing on Friday, but it is amazing how a 2-hour meeting strategically placed near the start of a day can disrupt any attempts to do heavy editing during the rest of one's day... Hi all, I am sorry but I did not finish reviewing the document on inheritance. I also wanted to reach out individually to Walter and Robert, official Parent Events of the Humboldt Core. So I do not think we are ready to 'submit' tomorrow. Maybe, we can briefly meet and confirm that all documents needed are there.
