Shot myself in the foot. Of course, handles, DOIs, and LSIDs all end up
being resolved to a URL other than the identifier  the user typed in,
so arguably the phishing analogy is bogus -- although at least with a
handle or DOI there is no prior expectation of what the URL should be
(which may or may not be a good thing).

Must engage brain before typing...
