I have just updated the GUID wiki page at http://wiki.gbif.org/guidwiki/wikka.php?wakka=WhyWeShouldNotUseLSIDs with some details about documents that discuss these issues, primarily the document at http://www.w3.org/2001/tag/doc/URNsAndRegistries-50.html. Unless you have an RSS feed hooked up to the wiki, you would not have been informed of this changed - a problem, I believe, with wikis in general!
