Thank you so much, Theary and all Executive Committee members! I am overjoyed to receive such incredible news. This accomplishment truly reflects the outstanding teamwork involved. I am not only immensely proud of this group's achievement, but also deeply grateful to every member of the task group who, despite their numerous responsibilities, devoted nearly 3 years to this project. Dear Humboldties, I am very sorry I will not be able to celebrate the submission of the extension for ratification. I am currently on a train back to Germany with a poor internet connection so I will not join the meeting today. Some notes from my end that would be nice if you can discuss today: - the executive board meeting will be next Tuesday so we will probably have news on the ratification by then. Let's aim for a big meeting on Wed next week to celebrate! - Wesley has shared a subset of eBird data mapped with the Humboldt extension. Zach and Ani are still working on 2 more datasets. Once those are finished we can start the process of ending the Task Group. - Many of you have received an email from Lien Reyserhove about a new task group (or activating an old one) on IAS management and vocabulary (which I think could be expanded to include disturbances and other habitat modifications). She is organizing a meeting so let me know if you did not receive her email and you are interested in participating. - Work on the documentation and HE user guide is led by Kate (and GBIF more generally). Please Kate, let us know if you need anything from us. - Rob S. and I started drafting the HE paper. Dear all, I propose we skip our meeting this week and keep working on all the tasks that are happening in the background. I think it is easy to catch up on these via email but please let me know if there is any topic you would like to discuss with the whole team then we can certainly meet on Wed. Ongoing tasks: - *ratification;* Steve has generated the new list of terms and John has switched the status to "Process - prepare for executive review". I need to revise the supporting documents. - *Humboldt Task Group deliverable*; Zach, Ani and Wesley are mapping subsets of their data with Humboldt extension so we can have at least 5 published examples. Please let us know if this is moving forward or if you need some help *- Humboldt documentation; *GBIF, led by Kate, will take over the user guide and make it much fancier! - *Humboldt paper*; Rob S volunteered to start writing the overview with the main ideas for the paper. Please let us know if this is moving forward or if you need some help. Unless somebody would like to discuss something this Wed, we will meet on Wed 7th. Let me know what you think...
