Dear all, In our last Interest Group meeting we have decided on following steps and action items: - Create Task Force on Environmental sample and eDNA data o Please have a look at the draft proposal by Friday 11th June and edit/comment: https://docs.google.com/document/d/17JDE3DyAR7pF0vBTDeed9gx3HrkwrJMLhetUEAkk... o The scope of our Interest Group is much broader then eSamples. Since we currently have a concrete task to fulfill it only makes sense to set up a Task Force to achieve the required goals. Add your name to the list of members or as convener if you want to be part of this Task Force. I will submit the proposal to TDWG's Executive Committee once the group is happy with the proposal text. Once the TF is set up we will reach out to environmental initiatives to be distributed in their networks - Put all GGBN Data Standard terms into https://github.com/tdwg/ggbn/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+label%3A%22GGBN+D... as a reference o The TDWG ratification of this standard is still not finished. In another project we have decided to revise the whole standard and publish the next stable version mid next year. Once this is done we will try to submit it again to TDWG for ratification. - Our next Interest Group meeting is scheduled for June 23rd 5pm CET, meeting invitation will follow separately Best, Gabi
