Dear all
Thanks so much for all the work you've all done on the abstract. I've now uploaded it to Arpha and added all those who listed themselves in the googledoc as authors. If anyone still wants to be included as an author, please let me know asap.
https://arpha.pensoft.net/preview.php?document_id=22929
I've added a title, but if anyone has a better idea please make suggestions.
Mapping across standards to calculate the MIDS level of digitisation of Natural Science Collections
I've added the following funding programmes - please add any that I've missed.
* MOBILISE, the EU COST Action CA17106 on "Mobilising Data, Experts and Policies in Scientific Collections"
* DiSSCo Prepare, H2020-INFRADEV-2019-2020 - Grant Agreement No. 871043
* SYNTHESYS+, H2020 research and innovation programme - Grant Agreement No. 823827
I'll be submitting tomorrow - not sure what time the deadline is but I'll submit at 4pm UK time, and I'll check any comments, suggestions at that time.
Thanks again for all the work on this.
Elspeth

Subject: [TDWG-MIDS] Abstract draft
Dear all
Apologies for the delay in sending round a draft abstract for the TDWG 2023 conference. We discussed submitting an abstract to the symposium "SYM02 Building bridges: Mapping from, to and between TDWG standards" with the inclusion of some case studies. A draft abstract is here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-hFQZaeTWngZ34BymumTxCmmDl-gv5fAIJVGFQFHm4s/edit.
The thinking is that it needs something more concrete. Time is very short, I'm afraid, so we may not be able to add very specific information about the case studies at this time, but maybe some of the task group members have some experience with curation, data wrangling and scripting, calculating MIDS for the collections they represent that you might want to include here?
Please feel free to add suggestions and comments in the abstract, as well as adding your name to the list of authors.
I'd hoped to be able to send this round much earlier, but we will be able to spend more time on the presentation itself if the abstract is accepted.
Best regards
Elspeth
