Dear MIDS Task Group members

First of all apologies for the gap in communications over the winter. As you may be aware, there is an increasingly urgent need from our community for the completion of the MIDS specification.

The aim is to finalise MIDS-1 as a priority and to make substantial progress with MIDS-2 and MIDS-3.

We are therefore restarting the monthly Task Group meetings from May. The meetings will be held at the same time as previously: 1.30 UTC.

The aim for the next monthly meeting will be to finalise MIDS-1 and determine the steps towards publication and ratification. To help us achieve this, we are suggesting an additional meeting on Thursday 28 April at the same time. I hope you will be able to join us.
