+1 for the practices landscaping paper, but I doubt that all practices can be called good; but that does not mean they should be excluded from the sudy. Could a more neutral what-people-do paper be written with some stats and analysis of possible drivers for careful, careless, informed, uninformed data behavior in ecology? E.g. a systematic review with some narrative elements.

Hi all,
I was not able to attend the meeting last week. I would be very interested in taking part in the subgroup working with the paper on good practices for ecological data sharing  - I think such a paper is very timely and needed in the ecological research community.

I just wanted to highlight an idea that came out of this conversation about creating a subgroup that will work on developing a paper on good practices (potential workflow) around ecological data aggregation and sharing. As John nicely put it "Humboldt Core in Practice: A Journey through Ecological Data Sharing".
Personally I am very interested in this idea as a way to document and share the challenges and lessons learnt about the process of implementing the HC. So please reach out if you are interested and we can start a new subgroup!

Regarding Controlled Vocabularies. Steven invited all who are interested to the Audubon Core Views Controlled Vocabularies Task Group that is meeting today (reach out to Steven if you want to join).
