[tdwg-content] Help with using extensions in IPT

Hi Niels,

The correct mailing list is the IPT list (http://lists.gbif.org/mailman/listinfo/ipt). I suggest mailing that, providing as much information as possible - IPT version, the core and extensions you are using, the SQL statements you use etc.

The IPT does allows multiple mappings per source file which is a common practice, but you cannot map to an extension until you have mapped the core. There are some workarounds there, such as creating a core with only the minimum fields, and then effectively mapping an extension in a 1:1 manner (rather than multiple rows per core record).

Cheers,
Tim

I was hoping I could prevail on someone to help me find out how to use extensions in the IPT provider for data from an SQL database, without creating duplicate rows in the core file or empty rows (apart from the core ID) in the extension file(s). I think I tried everything, but I must be overlooking something.
