Whatever happened to Richard Pankhurst's TDWG-based attempt to come up with
a minimum character set (or something) for just the (vascular? seed?
flowering?) plants?  I seem to remember there was a fair bit of wailing,
gnashing of teeth and slitting of wrists over this exercise...
