Following from the other calls for presentations at TDWG 2007 in
Bratislava this autumn, there will be a session on Tuesday September
18, 2007 between 14:00 and 15:30 under the title "Protocols: Unifying
the data, wrapping it up, and sending it back".
We are interested in receiving proposals for presentations in areas
such as the following:
- Development of solutions using TDWG's own protocols, particularly
TAPIR
- Development of solutions using standard Internet discovery,
access and transfer protocols using TDWG data standards
- Development of community-specific protocols for use in
biodiversity informatics (including their possible wider application
and/or adoption as TDWG standards)
- Issues within biodiversity informatics where protocol standards
are still needed
The session on Septemer 18 will be limited to 6 presentations, but
there will also be opportunities for posters and computer
demonstrations.
Please contact me if you wish to propose a presentation in this area.
Many thanks,
Donald
