A special room rate has been negotiated at the Hotel Praia Mar, http://www.maisturismo.pt/aapmar , which is close to the Gulbenkian Institute. During the meeting, a shuttle bus will be arranged, but it is also possible to walk, or get a local train.

You can reserve rooms via the registration option on the hotel’s web site (in Portuguese) http://www.almeidahotels.com/praiamar_pt.htm . Attendees can fill in "TDWG 2003" in the last box named Comentários (Comments) - that will be enough for the special rates to apply.

Or book by fax to +(351) 214573130. It is acceptable to print the form from the web, fill it in and fax it.

The hotel will also accept booking in writings, by post, of course.

Details on registration for the meeting will appear soon on the TDWG website (www.tdwg.org), along with details on transport options from Lisbon airport to the hotel or institute.
