Short Course: iDigBio Georeferencing for Research Use, Santa Barbara, California, Oct 4 - 7, 2016.

Who: Interested members of current TCNs and the
broader biodiversity natural history collections community
actively mobilizing and using biological and paleontological
specimen locality data for research.
When: 4 days. Tuesday to Friday, Oct 4 - 7, 2016
(Monday October 3 and Saturday October 8 are travel days).
Our focus is on research use of georeferenced natural history collections data. We will include activities and discussions about best practices and tools for georeferencing, capturing locality data in the field, and using georeferenced specimen locality data in research. Attendees must have a basic level of experience with georeferencing techniques and tools.
