Geonames ontology
Stumbled across an nice ontology for geographical places (see http://semant.blogspot.com/2006/10/geonames-ontology-in-owl-gswb.html). Isn't this the sort of thing we should be looking at, say for Darwin Core. It always struck me as a weakness that geographic places in Darwin Core were simply literal strings, rather than links to URIs.
