I got the MIDS documentation page up: https://dev.mids.dissco.tech/. It is a quick and dirty draft as I was a bit short on time, but hopefully it gives some indication how it could look like. As mentioned it is hosted on a dissco domain as I got easy access to that, but we can easily move it (containerised the app). Several people are admin of the github repo https://github.com/DiSSCo/mids-documentation (also in DiSSCo) so they should be able to change things, or add new people. If you want to push your changes to the website, please contact Soulaine ( soulaine.theocharides@naturalis.nl), one of our devs. It is no work at all, but we don't have a full CD pipeline in place yet. Ok, I think that is it, I will be on holiday for a while but hope to continue when I get back.

I've had a quick test of the tool on RBGE Herbarium data and it looks good. It would be good to discuss the mapping that may not be accessible through the API - possible to request GBIF to add some additional terms into their API for the future?

As trailed in a previous meeting, I've finished putting together and deploying a little web app which uses the GBIF API to calculate MIDS scores. You can access it here: https://naturalhistorymuseum.github.io/gamc and the source is here: https://github.com/naturalhistorymuseum/gamc.
From the home page just search and select your GBIF occurrence dataset,
the app then runs some calculations by querying the GBIF API a few (~25) times, and then you'll see a couple of charts showing your dataset's record counts against the 4 MIDS levels as well as a more detailed breakdown of record counts by MIDS element. Any and all feedback welcome, including suggestions for changes (particularly around the mapping where we are somewhat limited, again see the caveats). The primary goal of this tool at the moment is to help people understand and explore their own MIDS scores, but when GBIF implement MIDS in their systems I fully expect it to become redundant. Additionally, it may be worth exploring a GeoCASe API based version of this too (and it would be pretty trivial to add I expect), though this may have limited usefulness given the discussion we had in the last meeting about the general lack of availability of datasets that cover all earth science disciplines.
