Hi all,
This is a great topic to discuss in our Humboldt meeting this week (Wednesday 25 8 am EST). I will join later (~8:30am) so maybe Ming or John can start with an overview of the case and collect people feedback!
Thanks John and Ming for working on this!
If time allows we can also review the definition for the new HE term (see these slideshttps://nam12.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.google.com%2Fpresentation%2Fd%2F18n83tttDvWDLI5UM30LIsfqrbpH5nbyrwIKjuUY_glE%2Fedit%23slide%3Did.p&data=05%7C01%7Cyanina.sica%40yale.edu%7C5091e4ee2bbb44697e5b08dac76f5a7f%7Cdd8cbebb21394df8b4114e3e87abeb5c%7C0%7C0%7C638041578338601454%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=GmEN3rV%2F7Dm25KOnzbDv87jR19Ug3jYp7y9pq8g5dw0%3D&reserved=0 for reference).

Hi folks,
I am super interested to know how this solution sits with you all. It seems elegant and powerful to me, but that doesn't mean it makes sense or is intuitive to understand. Trying to find the sweet spot between simplicity, flexibility, and expressivity.
Cheers,
John

John has developed the Broke west trawl dataset mini use case into a full use case representing absences and the Humboldt Extension and can be found ready for review at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DgYrSlCCcvs4x59J8Koty6TTovRKtQhAYe8ItE0g...https://nam12.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.google.com%2Fdocument%2Fd%2F1DgYrSlCCcvs4x59J8Koty6TTovRKtQhAYe8ItE0g72U%2Fedit%3Fusp%3Dsharing&data=05%7C01%7Cyanina.sica%40yale.edu%7C7e52e8610bc64b38a14c08dafd596c39%7Cdd8cbebb21394df8b4114e3e87abeb5c%7C0%7C0%7C638100857758050298%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=mOWRBoQr1pEy7%2B3Sq7plDikhYO%2FLswpz5hZYkOgHW3s%3D&reserved=0
