Hi all,

Sorry I have been off of the radar for a bit, I’ve had some vacation time as well as personal matters and other work priorities. I therefore apologise for not doing the concepts part of the document as was tasked to me, but I see that Paula has now done that (thanks Paula!). The document is looking really good, congratulations to everyone.

I should be able to join the meeting tonight.

Best,

Peter

Subject: [tdwg-humboldt] Humboldt TG Meeting Wed 13 April 2022, 08:00 EST

Hi all,

Hope everyone is doing well.

First, big Kudos to Tim and John for a great webinar on Diversifying the GBIF data model.

They not only gave a very clear introduction to the new "GBIF Grand Unified Model" but they also actively invited people to join our TG and test our proposal! Thank you!

Second, John has agreed to help us with the test IPT for the Humboldt extension. This would be very valuable for our testing subgroup, but we thought it would be a good idea to open this to everybody who is interested. Hence, tomorrow in our typical Wed meeting we will have some time to ask John questions regarding the IPT (and potentially how the new unified data model could impact that work).

There has also been a lot of progress in the Humboldt documentation and the testing feedback form, that would greatly benefit from your comments!

Below you will find the proposed agenda for tomorrow:

  • Are we ready for external testing of Humboldt extension?
    • specific IPT questions (questions for John)
    • Any comments on the documentation and feedback form?
    • have we identified external testers?
  • How can the working group have an active participation in TDWG 2022?
    • Deadline is this Friday!

All the best!

Yani
