Dear Ramona and all,
I've made a summary of the comments so far and have added them to the GitHub Wiki (https://github.com/qgroom/ias-dwc-proposal/wiki/A-summary-of-key-points-from-discussions-of-the-IAS-DwC-proposal).
Please let me know if I've missed or misunderstood something.

Regarding "some concrete next steps for moving forward".
Some of these steps are more concrete than others, and I would welcome additional suggestions.

Regards
Quentin

I finally had a chance to read through this long list of emails. It's great to see the discussions inspired by Quentin's proposal.

To bring this particular thread back into focus, Quentin, I think it would be helpful if you could summarize the comments and suggestions that pertain specifically to the proposed term changes, perhaps in the github doc if you think that is appropriate. I would like to see some concrete next steps for moving forward.

I too am encouraged by Donald's remarks, as they capture much of what inspired work on the BCO and are consistent with the directions that I think TDWG needs to move to keep pace with biodiversity and data science. As important as those high level changes are, I want to make sure we we don't loose track of the much needed work on origin, occurrenceStatus and establishmentMeans.
