Folks, Hi. We now have a grant to convert the Tree of Life project into a full-fledged database, and are looking for a lead developer to help us with this effort. The Tree of Life (http://phylogeny.arizona.edu/tree) is a widely-used, multi-authored, international, distributed Internet project containing information about phylogeny and biodiversity. This position will be lead developer in the rebuilding of the project as database-driven system with open-source, Java-based data entry tools and flexible data-presentation and manipulation modules. Additionally, this position will coordinate with other bioinformatics projects (e.g. NABIN, species2000) to ensure interoperability of the data served by the project.
