Advancing the Humboldt manuscript - new figures and other additions

Dear all, I am sorry for the delay after our meeting in February. I had to take some time off and could not dig into this until recently. After our meeting, there are a number of updates that I would like you to take a look at: - Figures 1 and 2 were updated following your suggestions - The methods section was considerably reduced - In results, the information classes were revisited and many changes were incorporated (now terms are grouped in 6 non formal classes that describe different aspects of the data collection process) - An Application section was incorporated listing the different data repositories that can make use of the Humboldt Extension, and the use cases. Due to lack of space the main content of this section was moved to supplementary material. You can find the MS here <https://docs.google.com/document/d/1I7RRu6mj7u53-zz6c_8ZIYqLsNMA0o6VwP3fuSTMWcI/edit?tab=t.0> . *I would really appreciate it if you could take a look at these sections as well as the Discussion and get your feedback by April 7th. My goal is by the end of April to have a decent final draft and start contacting the Editor of the Journal. * I hope you find this timeline reasonable, let me know otherwise.* If you all agree, I will set up a call on April 9th to discuss the status of the MS and your inputs.* *Thank you so much for all your support in this process!* Best, Yani

Hi Yani, The timeline is reasonable. I will go through them before 7 April. Having a call on April 9th is good with me. Thank you for putting all these together and organising this! Dear team, Today was the deadline for this internal revision. *Thank you to the people who gave their input!* I noticed not everybody was able to provide feedback. *Do you need another week to do it, or should we meet on Wednesday anyway?* I believe we are very close to having a manuscript ready to submit, so I would really appreciate your insights in this final part of the process! Hi Yani, Will not be able to add more comments because of GBIF mid-terms. But I think the paper is nearly there. If there is a meeting soon, I might have lost the invite. Hi all, I received mixed reactions, so *let's meet next week* for those needing more time to provide feedback. I had to change the meeting link to a Google Meet: Wednesday, April 16 · 14:00 CET - 12:00 UTC Video call link: https://meet.google.com/gtp-mhbo-qta The manuscript can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1I7RRu6mj7u53-zz6c_8ZIYqLsNMA0o6VwP3fuSTM... Hi Yani, I have the review of the discussion still pending, but won't be able to do it before Wednesday because of fieldwork. I could make it for next week if the meeting is postponed. Thank you! Best, paula El lun, 7 abr 2025 7:45 a. m., Anahita Kazem <Anahita.Kazem@idiv.de> escribió:
