</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">There is a session at this year's TDWG Annual Conference devoted to "Communication, education & outreach" to take place on Friday 21st September between 0900 and 1030.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">The session will cover topics of particular relevance to TDWG, such as how biologists get the computer knowledge and skills that they require and, conversely, how computer scientists get the biological knowledge that they require to be able to contribute to the work that TDWG represents. New initiatives and technologies that allow taxonomists to communicate, collaborate and to get the attention and interest of students and others new to the field are of particular interest.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">If you are interested in making a 15-minute presentation during one of the remaining slots in this session, please contact me by email in the first instance at the address given below.</FONT></P>
