 for it to be transformed into an "official" TDWG controlled vocabulary. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">I looked at the list in the Google sheet. It is a lot more granular that I was supposing the values would be, but I guess there's nothing wrong with that if that's what we want. I would, however, ask that
 we consider potential overlap with the vocabulary already nearing completion and ratification by the Views Controlled Vocabularies Task Group. One of those vocabularies is to specify parts of organisms that are the subject of imaging, but as a practical matter,
 it's just a vocabulary of parts and could be used for any purpose. You can see the existing list at https://github.com/tdwg/ac/blob/master/views/code/subjectPart/subjectPart_cv.csv and a list of part controlled values organized by organism groups here: https://github.com/tdwg/ac/blob/master/views/code/part_collections.md<o:p></o:p></span></p>

 users would be likely to photograph. We are in the midst of user testing right now, so should have a pretty good idea of which values work and which ones don't.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

 Discussion yesterday led us to see the need for thinking beyond the currently used "GBIF basisOfRecord" terms. Abby suggested that we take a step back and start by creating a list of terms we think we might find or want to place in materialSampleType. So,
